The ACTEC Foundation Renews Support for Popular Educational T&E Series

Apr 27, 2026 | Announcements, News

The ACTEC Foundation Board has approved a grant of more than $46,000 to support an additional year of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC’s) two signature T&E series—ACTEC Estate Planning Essentials and ACTEC Trust and Estate Talk. The grant request, submitted by the ACTEC Communications Committee, was approved by the Foundation’s Board of Directors during ACTEC’s 2026 Annual Meeting in March.

Launched in 2018, both series have become central to advancing ACTEC’s mission by expanding awareness of estate planning issues and delivering trusted, expert-driven education to professionals and the public alike.

The ACTEC Trust and Estate Talk podcast series, designed for estate planning and wealth management professionals, has become a trusted, go-to resource within the field. With a robust and growing library of 375 episodes, the series consistently delivers timely, practical insights that resonate with practitioners and reinforce ACTEC’s reputation for thought leadership.

The ACTEC Estate Planning Essentials video series serves the general public by delivering clear, reliable guidance on foundational estate planning topics. As of March 2026, the College has released 92 videos, generating more than 140,000 views and over 40,000 hours of watch time—demonstrating sustained demand for reliable, expert-driven information.

Both series address emerging and timely issues. Recent content on newly introduced Trump Accounts has drawn significant early engagement. The Estate Planning Essentials video, What Is a Trump Account? Rules, Taxes, and How They Work for Families has received over 1,200 views within its first month. Similarly, the ACTEC Trust and Estate Talk podcast episode, Trump Accounts (IRC §530A): Estate, Tax, and Wealth Planning Considerations, has been downloaded more than 1,400 times since its release in February of this year.

Together, these two public-facing platforms significantly advance the missions of ACTEC and The ACTEC Foundation by increasing public awareness, strengthening credibility, and expanding educational reach among both professionals and the general public. They remain essential pillars in reinforcing ACTEC’s visibility and leadership in the trust and estate planning field.

Continued support from The ACTEC Foundation makes this work possible. Those interested in helping expand the reach of these educational initiatives are encouraged to learn more about The Foundation and consider making a tax-deductible contribution.
