The Future of T&E Law

Planning for a Diverse and Equitable Future

The Planning for a Diverse and Equitable Future video series explores key estate planning and wealth transfer topics through the lens of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Featuring insights from leading trust and estate practioners, noted authors, judges, civil rights experts, and more, the series addresses challenges and opportunities in creating fair and inclusive financial plans, promoting intergenerational wealth in underrepresented communities, and ensuring equitable access to estate planning resources. It serves as an educational tool for professionals and families seeking to navigate estate planning with cultural awareness and sensitivity.

The series is hosted through the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusivity Committee, which has twice received grant funding for the video series from The ACTEC Foundation, in October 2020 and October 2021. Since then, the series has covered topics ranging from the history of marginalized communities to diversity in trust and estate law to civil rights.

The Planning for a Diverse and Equitable Future series was a recipient of the 2022 Communicator Award.
