“Fitzy” Fitzsimons eagled another hole, raising $3,850 in Round 3! To date, he has raised a total of $10,300 for The Foundation’s Spring Fundraiser. Congratulations, Fitzy!

The ACTEC Foundation Longest Drive Challenge 2024 2024 continues into the fourth and final round. Your Regents are driving for glory and putting for a great cause! Through Round 3, your eight golfers, each representing an ACTEC Region, have raised over $23,775!

Western Region: “Titan” Steven Trytten
Steve is representing the Western Region and currently stands in 8th place. Steve is channeling his favorite golfer, Collin Morikawa’s precision and composure on the course as he faces the challenge of saving par in the final Round. Steve looks to the generous Fellows from the Western Region, especially his home state of California, for support to save par and make a push up the leaderboard. Let’s go, California!

New England Region: Suzy “Whaley” Walsh
Suzy birdied onto the leaderboard in Round 2 but currently sits in 6th place after a bogey in Round 3. Suzy’s drawing inspiration from her favorite golfer, PGA of America President Suzy Whaley, who is known for her visionary business leadership and innovative thinking, as well as her competitive spirit and skill on the links.
Mid-Atlantic Region: “Mr. 202352018” Kevin Matz
Kevin has struggled with his long game thus far but has chipped his way to 5th place standing. Despite the setbacks, Kevin remains focused, drawing inspiration from his favorite golfer, NBA superstar Steph Curry. Just as Curry revolutionized basketball with his shooting prowess and leadership, Kevin aims to channel Curry’s competitive spirit and precision to climb back up the leaderboard in Round 4.
Heart of America Region: Susan “Rumble” Shields
Susan delivered a stellar performance for the Heart of America in Round 1, but struggled to maintain par and currently is in 4th place. Inspired by her favorite golfer, rising star Rose Zhang, Susan aims to emulate her favorite golfer’s focus, skill and relentless pursuit of excellence to propel her to a podium finish at Payne’s Valley, her “home” course (pictured above), in this final round.
Every dollar you donate to The ACTEC Foundation during the Challenge propels your favorite golfer’s ball another foot down the fairway–the longest drive wins! Golfers are members of the Board of Regents, and are “Teed-up” to represent their ACTEC Regions for their opening drive:
